Sister Wives fans became very confused after watching Kody Brown go from spewing awful things about his wives to liking hanging out with one shocked wife on the TLC series.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Proof is in His Offspring
Season 19 of Sister Wives filmed almost two years ago, yet Kody Brown appears in scenes where he talks about more recent events. He goes from spewing words of disdain toward his ex-wives to a more mellow fellow in no time at all on the screen. Plus, he plays nice in scenes that seem newer than others with Meri Brown. This is the same wife he slammed hard with insults just several scenes before.
So, it is strange that these lighter scenes for Kody pop up this season. The dead giveaway that some newer scenes appear with the old ones starts with a look at his children. In particular, Ariella Brown seemed to develop into a pre-teen overnight from a six-year-old kid. So, for some Sister Wives fans, there is not much doubt that Kody heads in a different direction at the last minute.
Kody Follows the PR Road Mapped Out for Him?
Sister Wives star Mykelti Brown Padron alluded to Kody and Robyn hiring a PR firm a while back. Fans think this is likely the case, especially after what they have witnessed so far in Season 19.
Kody didn’t go as far as apologizing for his claims of never loving Meri, Christine Brown, or Janelle Brown. But he seems willing to do something else. So the fans saw this last week as he talked up Meri in a cordial manner. Then he even claimed he liked hanging out with her.
He seemed to change his tune about Christine getting married as well. So, maybe these new scenes are meant to soften Kody for the audience.
Sister Wives: Does Papa Brown’s Drama Brings the Fans Back?
Sister Wives rocketed to the number one most popular show for TLC. At one time, it trailed behind the 90-Day Fiancé series franchise. So, giving the viewers what they want seems to be a good idea for the ratings, and that is over-the-top drama.
But, many Sister Wives fans think Kody Brown has gone too far with his comments about his wives and kids. So, maybe to keep the series afloat as number one, Kody pulled some PR folks in to spin some damage control.
Sister Wives fans think the scenes of Kody playing nice are the results of some form of PR. Since the audience has come down on Kody’s treatment of his ex-wives and kids, scenes like family game night suddenly find their way into Season 19.
This could be a coincidence, but Sister Wives fans don’t see it that way. They think Kody has become accustomed to the finer things this TLC salary awards him. And because of that, a more friendly version of Kody Brown emerges from the ashes of what he exhibited in the last few seasons of this TLC series.
