Liverpool set to table bid of over £8 million for 18-year-old eyed by 3 other Premier League sides: Reports

Liverpool are allegedly aiming to launch a permanent move to rope in Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller, who has lately drawn interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Miller, who turned 18 earlier this August, has emerged as one of the most talented stars in the Scottish Premiership of late. He is enjoying a breakout season this campaign, registering four goals and five assists in 22 total club games.

Now, according to Caught Offside, Arne Slot’s side are willing to lodge a bid of over £8 million to try and sign Miller in the future. They are set to face stiff competition from Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, and Southampton.

Miller, who has reportedly impressed Liverpool’s scouts this season, could prove to be a good signing for the Reds. He would act as a great backup for both the number 10 and the number six roles in Slot’s preferred 4-2-3-1 system.

Since making his professional debut in August 2022, Miller has registered five goals and eight assists in 59 games across competitions for Motherwell.

Liverpool superstar named ‘best’ in the world

Ex-Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has named Reds forward Mohamed Salah as the best footballer in the world right now. He told online bookmaker BetMGM (h/t Metro):

“I think so, yes, [Mohamed] Salah is the best. I am a big fan of [Kylian] Mbappe but he is not showing it at the moment. You have Vinicius Junior too, but I think that Salah has been consistent for so many years.”

Sharing his thoughts on the Egyptian’s future, the Dutchman continued:

“You can see [that Salah] feels really at home at Liverpool and he should stay. It’s the same with [Trent] Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, they should stay too. Liverpool are a huge club, [they are] doing really well at the moment and I only see Real Madrid as the club you never say no to.”

Since the start of the 2023-24 season, Salah has recorded a whopping 66 goal involvements at club level. The 32-year-old wide operator has bagged 40 goals and provided 26 assists in just 65 overall appearances for Liverpool.

On the other hand, Kylian Mbappe has contributed 55 goals and 12 assists in 69 total games for Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid since the start of last campaign. Vinicius Junior has contributed 36 goals and 19 assists in 57 matches across competitions for Los Blancos in the aforesaid period of time.
