Four instructors from a US college have been injured after they were attacked at a public park in China, according to a statement from the school.
The instructors were injured in a “serious incident” during a daytime visit to the park in Jilin province, northern China, according to Iowa’s Cornell College, where they are affiliated.
Iowa Representative Adam Zabner said his his brother, David, was one of the four instructors injured in the incident, which he described as a stabbing.
A US State Department spokesperson told the BBC they are aware of reports of a stabbing incident in Jilin, but could not provide more information.
