Although chairman and CEO Cal McNair revealed the date in an interview last month, the Houston Texans officially announced on Thursday they’ll unveil their new uniforms during a release party on April 23.

We’ve already seen the road uniforms, as they initially leaked on Reddit before McNair shared his own photo on the social media platform of wide receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell in the new threads, along with the caption, “Way more to come in April.”

The white jerseys feature a horn-shaped design on the sleeves, a red “Houston” wordmark on the chest and new custom numbers, which are blue with a red stroke.

The uniforms are complete with a blue helmet featuring the Texans’ primary logo on the sides and blue pants, which include a large red stripe with a smaller white stripe down the sides.

Houston is set to unveil three additional uniforms later this month that will reportedly have their own unique designs rather than be a repeat of the road uniform in various colors.

One will prominently feature H-Town Blue, which most will associate with the Houston Oilers, though the city has a long and rich history with the color outside of that, including tile street signs, the city flag and police cruisers.

The graphic the Texans used to promote their reveal party, as well as their 2024 NFL Draft party a few days later, may have given us our first glimpse at the exact shade of H-Town Blue, as well.

Below is a look at the difference between the possible H-Town Blue and Columbia blue, which the Oilers used for 37 years before moving to Tennessee in 1997 and becoming the Titans in 1999.

It will be interesting to see how the Texans use the color, as the Titans still use the exact shade of Columbia blue and own the rights to the Oilers’ nickname and colors. They also wore throwback uniforms last season to celebrate that history.
