Recruit reactions come in from Georgia Tech’s upset

Desir twins pick Florida State

Georgia Tech stuns Miami

A pair of FutureCast predictions are in

After a Friday night decommitment from UCF, twin Miami (Fla.) Norland pass rushers Darryl Desir and Mandrell Desir are looking to hit the road late in the recruiting cycle. A source says Florida State could be the team to watch in an effort to keep the duo within state lines, and now an official visit for the weekend of November 23 has been set. Mandrell reaffirmed to Rivals on Friday that the duo “of course” remains a package deal when it comes to making the move to college, so the combination of the decommitment and subsequent visit set to FSU has led to two new FutureCast predictions at Rivals.

Elite Clemson commitment suffers ACL injury

As he wrapped up one of the top two-way seasons in the country last week, Fyffe (Ala.) High School star Logan Anderson suffered a knee injury that kept him from the end of his final prep game. What was initially feared was a torn ACL and it has since been confirmed by the Anderson family. He will have surgery on Monday and work to continue to transition to college at Clemson in January.

Local visits are still big visits

With undefeated Miami in town, Georgia Tech has a rock solid visitor list filled with some of the best from the Atlanta-area and beyond. It includes blue-chip junior pass rusher Katrell Webb.

Desir twins back on the market, FSU official visit next

As UCF sputters on the field, its 2025 recruits continue to make moves. The latest comes in a pair, Darryl and Mandrell Desir, twin defensive linemen from Miami (Fla.) Norland who backed off of the commitment on Friday evening. A source tells Rivals the duo will make an official visit to Florida State as they look ahead to the potential next step. The return to Tallahassee will take place the weekend of November 23, when Mike Norvell’s program hosts Charleston Southern.

Big, big-play wideout flips away from NC State

Less than a week after returning from Ann Arbor and an official visit to Michigan, 6-foot-4 South Florida native Jamar Browder has changed his commitment from the NC State Wolfpack to that of the defending national champs. We’re expecting a strong close for UM in the state of Florida in the end.

Bohm spotted in ‘Bama

Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm is hitting the road to recruit in the state of Alabama, home to longtime Cardinals quarterback commitment Mason Mims and several targets, among others. UofL also holds a pledge from state native and pass rusher CJ May.

Two-horse race for Carter Smith?

The Bishop Verot quarterback of course backed off of his Michigan commitment last week and many signs have remained in the Big Ten — mostly with Wisconsin at this point. However, over the last 24 hours there is considerable smoke towards Florida State becoming a contender in this race late in the game. It offers an in-state option and potential familiarity to the Southwest Florida native.

Of course the Seminoles have their own quarterback situation to eye on the trail as longtime commitment and fellow in-state four-star Tramell Jones continues to flirt with family favorite Florida. With Billy Napier now set to remain the head coach in Gainesville, could the Seminoles miss out on his pledge and replace it with Smith’s?

Multiple scenarios are brewing late in the game.

Boston College commitment on flip watch

Notre Dame has about all of its remaining senior recruiting targets on campus this weekend and the growing list includes Nolan James, the longtime Boston College running back commitment. It wouldn’t surprise to see a change of heart with the New Jersey native despite having been committed to the Eagles for nearly one year.

Thomas recruiting Boggs to Florida State

Coleman completes unblemished regular season

The future Miami quarterback and Rivals250 talent out of Orlando (Fla.) Jones High School has his team as one of the favorites in the state playoffs after an undefeated regular season. Dereon Coleman picked Miami back in the summer.

Four-star 2026 LB Williams back on the market

Izayia Williams has made three ACC commitments thus far in his recruitment, with his decommitment from FSU Thursday following Syracuse and Louisville prior.

Tramell Jones clears the air

Five-star pass rusher sets Pitt official visit

After spending last weekend at Syracuse, where he reports a strong return to the Dome, Javion Hilson is set for more visits before his recruitment ends in December. One of the trips will be a long-waited return to Pitt, which was the first visit of the five-star’s recruitment way back when.

Now, Hilson will return to Pitt for an official visit the weekend of November 16, when Clemson comes to town. The Panthers, Orange, Texas and Texas A&M are Hilson’s final four programs under consideration.

Trio of Georgia Tech commitments on flip watch

Shane Beamer and USC always recruit the Peach State hard and it just so happens that multiple Georgia Tech pledges are expected on campus this weekend. Much more here:

ACC offers for prospects committed elsewhere

Lombardi Award finalists named Thursday

A pair of former Rivals three-stars were named Lombardi Award finalists on Thursday afternoon in Virginia Tech’s Antwaun Powell-Ryland and Boston College’s Donovan Ezeiruaku represented the conference among one dozen finalists.

Four-star DB Keon Young shuts it down

Four-star Lakeland (Fla.) High School defensive back Keon Young, who committed to Ole Miss back in the summer, announced he was shutting down the process despite interest from ACC program NC State, among others. He will be back in Oxford this weekend to see his future program in action.

Florida State the top threat to UCF for top 100 WR Jayvan Boggs

The Cocoa (Fla.) High School star was in Tallahassee last weekend for an official visit and it lived up to the expectations, and then some, as Florida State sits without a wide receiver on verbal commitment list.

The Noles are in the thick of it for Jayvan Boggs.

“Just the push from Coach (Mike) Norvell and (Ron) Dugans and the whole staff to get me there,” Boggs told Rivals. “It’s how much they are making me a priority…

“It’s huge when they say I’m a need player for them.”

Boggs did admit he has a tighter relationship with Gus Malzahn’s program at UCF, given it’s local and has been recruiting him for much longer in the cycle.

Going forward, there are no visits to either campus set but Boggs has yet to rule out additional trips before signing day.

Three Predictions in ACC Country

Rivals breaks down some locks for the upcoming weeks both on the field and on the recruiting trail in the ACC.
