The 2024-25 college football season kicks off in earnest this Labor Day weekend, with a whopping 96 games scheduled between Thursday evening and Monday night.

With that, we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of every uniform, logo and field change that has taken place across the country this offseason, which we’ve broken down by conference and will share daily over the next few days.

We’ve already covered the ACCBig TenBig XII, SEC, Pac-12 and Independent programs, so now we’re moving onto the Group of 5 with the American Athletic Conference:

Army

The Black Knights have updated to Nike’s Vapor F.U.S.E. template, which will be affixed with an AAC patch as they joined a conference after 19 seasons as an Independent program.

Charlotte

The 49ers unveiled their new “Gold Rush” alternate uniform earlier this month, highlighted by the first non-chrome gold helmet in program history.

The uniforms, which are complete with gold jerseys with white UCLA stripes on the shoulders and white pants with two gold stripes, will be worn in the season opener against James Madison.

East Carolina

The Pirates now have the option of pairing their “modern” throwback uniforms that were introduced in 2022 with purple pants with gold and white stripes after previously wearing them with striped gold or white pants.

Navy

The Midshipmen have updated to Under Armour’s ARMR 037 template and have added their secondary anchor logo to the base of the collar.

North Texas

The Mean Green unveiled new uniforms in June that are inspired by the “Mean” Joe Greene era, with Kelly green home and white road jerseys featuring Northwestern stripes on the sleeves.

It’s the same design they wore as a throwback in 2018-19 and as their full-time uniforms in 2020-21, although there are no stripes on the pants this time around and a new state outline logo on the hip.

The uniforms were initially shown with winged white helmets that debuted in 2017, but they can also be paired with a new Kelly green helmet that North Texas later revealed – replacing a darker green shell with the same design.

Rice

The Owls have moved on from one of the simpler designs in college football after unveiling new uniforms that feature an enlarged wordmark across the chest and a traditional sleeve stripes on the blue home and white road jerseys.

In addition to the new uniforms, which will be paired with either blue or silver helmets and blue, white or silver pants, the Owls will also celebrate the 75th season of Rice Stadium this fall with a commemorative logo.

Tulane

Undoubtedly the least noticeable change on our list (regardless of conference affiliation), the Green Wave added tiny green and light blue flakes to the finish of their white helmets.

Tulsa

The Golden Hurricane have added traditional sleeve stripes to their blue home and white road jerseys and removed their nickname from the sides of their gold and white pants.

The jerseys maintain the same number font and wordmark across the chest as their previous set, though the latter is now gold instead of white on the blue jerseys and no longer features a stroke.

UAB

The Blazers made several tweaks to their base uniform design that was unveiled last season, most notably flipping the colors in the numbers and wordmark of their white road jerseys.

They also introduced new green helmets and second gray alternate uniform that pays homage to Birmingham, while the original gray design features lime green accents and honors their partnership with Children’s Harbor.

Lastly, UAB updated its academic and athletic marks this summer, though none of those changes – including the refreshed dragon logo – are reflected on the new uniforms.

UTSA

The Roadrunners unveiled new alternate uniforms last week that pay homage to San Antonio with a “210 Triangle of Toughness” patch on the shoulder of the black jerseys and the city skyline on the back bumper of the white helmets.

The uniforms are completely devoid of school colors and feature a full-bodied roadrunner on the sides of the helmets and “Runners” across the chest. They’ll likely be worn against Memphis on Nov. 2.
