James Cameron Joins AI Board Of Directors

Must read

James Cameron becomes the latest addition to the company’s expanding boardroom. He joins several high-profile names added to Stability’s roster, including Sean Parker, co-founder and developer of the now-defunct music-sharing application, Napster.

Founded in 2019 by Emad Mostaque, Stability AI began with a somewhat modest start before hauling in over $100 million from venture capital investors, leading to the company becoming a major contribution to the field of generative AI, most notably through its Stable Diffusion text-to-image technology.

Stable Diffusion uses a generative artificial neural network, allowing users the ability to develop original images based on written prompts. With an eye on the development of future visual media technologies, it then made perfect sense for Stability AI to look to James Cameron to offer his expertise.
