Must read

While LeBron James is heading to London from Abu Dhabi with Team USA, his wife Savannah is in Las Vegas to support their son Bronny. Savannah must be nervous every time his son plays in the Summer League, but it’s the summer weather in Vegas that gets her sweating.

In a post on her Instagram stories, the 37-year-old mother of three shared a meme featuring reality TV star Edward Allen Brown, famously known as “Big Ed.” It was the one where he visited the Philippines with Rose Vega and was surprised by the heat and humidity.

“Me this past week,” Savannah wrote.

Here’s what the “Big Ed” meme said:

“Right now, it’s probably over 100 degrees. I’m sweating my a** off right now.”

Despite the heat, Savannah might be feeling pretty good after Bronny’s performance on Wednesday. The 19-year-old guard had his best performance of the Summer League with 12 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field, including two 3-point shots made.

LeBron James had quiet night in Team USA’s win over Serbia in Abu Dhabi

While Savannah James and the rest of the family are in the United States, the patriarch LeBron James is with Team USA in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. James finished with 11 points and two assists in the Americans’ easy 105-79 victory at the Etihad Arena.

Steph Curry led the way for Team USA with 24 points after going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc. Bam Adebayo did a wonderful job on Nikola Jokic and also had 17 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes. Anthony Edwards added 16 points off the bench in what could be his best role for the team.

Jokic had a rough shooting night for Serbia, going 6-for-19 from the field and finishing with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Wednesday’s win was Team USA’s third in a row starting with a blowout victory over Canada in Las Vegas and followed it up with a close call against Australia in their first game in Abu Dhabi.

Before heading to Lille, France for the group stage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, LeBron James and Team USA will play two more exhibition games. They head out to London next to face South Sudan and Germany on July 21 and July 23, respectively.

South Sudan is one of the surprise teams which qualified for the Olympics. They have a ton of talent and their length is their primary strength. They boast three players with NBA experience – Carlik Jones, Marial Shayok and former LeBron teammate Wenyen Gabriel.

On the other hand, Germany is the defending FIBA World Cup champions. They won the World Championship last year in the Philippines, beating Croatia in the final. They have a bunch of NBA talents such as Dennis Schroder, Franz Wagner, Mo Wagner and Daniel Theis.
