The Triple-A Nashville Sounds have been an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers since 2021, and before that from 2005 to 2014. The team is continuing a popular tribute to its parent club this season, playing as the Nashville Brewskis. The Sounds introduced the powder blue alternates designed by Brandon Lamarche of 3-2 Designs last season, adding a new two-tone on-field cap this season.
“This design is the longest I’ve had to wait from when we finished it to when it made its real life debut,” Lamarche said on social media. “We completed this project with the Sounds right before the pandemic! The jersey made its on-field debut last season. With the hat making its debut this season, the uniform is complete!”
The powder blue color way is a tribute to the iconic uniforms the Milwaukee Brewers wore from 1970 to 1984, which has been re-introduced in their City Connect “Brew Crew” jerseys. The colors, per the team, are meant to reflect summertime in Wisconsin: powder blue is “a nod to the vibrant Milwaukee summer sky,” yellow “evokes the warmth, liveliness, and joy of summer in the Cream City,” and navy “symbolizes our beloved Lake Michigan.”
Nashville debuted their new Brewskis caps April 16 and will take the field in them again this season on September 3.
