Premier League club Everton FC and British sportswear company Castore have reached a “landmark agreement” that will see Castore supply kits and training gear while also getting an increased stake in Everton’s new stadium.
Everton announced the deal on Friday, June 14, calling it a “multi-year, club-record technical partnership with Castore that will see the sportswear brand supply high-performance playing, training and travel wear from the 2024/25 season.” Castore will also become the first founding partner of Everton Stadium, a new 52,000-seat stadium being built the Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool, on the banks of the River Mersey.
As part of the agreement, Castore will have two kit styles available for retail purchase: the Pro Kit and the Replica Kit. Pro kits will be available in both men’s and women’s sizes and “will introduce laser-cut detailing to enhance breathability and comfort on the pitch, alongside high-tech features that support performance on the field.”
Everton’s kits had been supplied by Danish sportswear company Hummel for the past four seasons, starting in 2020-21. Prior to that, they’d partnered with Umbro since 2014-15.
“We are really pleased to welcome Castore as our new technical kit partner from next season and to announce them as the first Founding Partner of Everton Stadium. The agreement – another record deal for the Club – sees us link up with an ambitious and innovative sportswear brand and comes at a historic time for Everton as we prepare for our stadium move,” said Everton chief commercial and communications officer Richard Kenyon.
“From our very first conversations, we could see how excited Castore were about the opportunity to work alongside us during this period and we’re looking forward to launching the first set of products this summer. It was also really pleasing that Castore could see the commercial opportunities in becoming a Founding Partner at our new stadium and it seems fitting that such an ambitious and successful brand from our region is the first of several stadium partners we will be announcing in the coming months.”
In becoming a founding partner of Everton Stadium, Castore will have “access to enhanced commercial opportunities and media rights at Everton’s new home once it opens in summer 2025.”
The 2024-25 Premier League season will be Everton’s last at their current stadium, Goodison Park.
