Alana Thompson is only 18 years old.
The former child beauty pageant star has only just started nursing school and is barely able to legally vote in this country.
And yet…
… the topic of motherhood has already come up for Thompson.
Speaking to The Daily Mail this week, Alana addressed the possibility of at least some day giving birth, telling this outlet that boyfriend Dralin Carswell is ready for parenthood.
Like, right now it sounds like.
“He wants kids and I don’t want kids,” Thompson told the newspaper, emphasizing that she definitely does not want children while she’s in school.
The reality star and Carswell made their relationship Instagram official in 2021 and have sine garnered a great deal of backlash Dralin was 20-plus years old when he started dating 16-year old Alana.
Carswell also has a history of trouble with the law.
But the pair live together and seem pretty darn happy, with Thompson saying in this interview that it will be “time” to discuss children after she is done with college.
The teenager added that she wants to “one and done, that’s it” when it comes to kids, too, which could very well be a stance she changes after actually becoming a mother.
In 2023, Thompson and her boyfriend were involved in a car chase in Monroe County, Georgia that led to Carswell’s DUI arrest, causing plenty of concern from fans online.
“He’s a good man, he takes care of me and he makes sure that I’m straight,” Thompson now says. “I love him, I’m happy with him so that’s all that matters.”
Alana, who says she wears a “promise ring” from Carswell, remains in a state of mourning, as well. She lost her sister to cancer in December.
“Anna was in so much pain last night but now as a family we all know she is at peace now. I really don’t know what to say as my heart is completely broken,” Alana said at the time.
“Watching my 29 year old sister this last year battle this horrible disease hasn’t been easy.”
To close out her heart-shattering post late last year, Alana wrote:
“We will all make sure your legacy lives on forever. And i promise to always make sure to celebrate our birthday like you never left!
“The sky looks a little bit different today. We will always love you Anna.
“You hit me hard with his one Anna but i know your in a better place now and pain free forever.”
