Rivals recruiting intel: Mid-South visits on deck

As the high school season is kicking into gear across the mid-south, here is the latest buzz around several of the nation’s best prospects in the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes from National Recruiting Analyst Marshall Levenson.

Here’s the latest:

Krempin has quite a busy fall ahead of him with visits planned to Texas A&M, Michigan, SMU, Texas, Baylor, Tennessee, and LSU. There is room to add even more to the list.

As it stands right now, Michigan, LSU, SMU, and Alabama are the schools looking the best in Krempin’s eyes. The No. 133 overall prospect really grew fond of LSU and Alabama this summer following visits. Michigan stands out playing in the Big 10 and being a historical power at the offensive lineman position. SMU is entering the ACC, has NIL power and is the hometown program. Krempin is planning to use fall visits to help narrow down a top 4-6 schools heading into the spring.

I reported this week that Williams is not far out from a decision. I expect him to make a commitment in the first month or two of the season, potentially in September or October. Texas A&M and Oklahoma are the two I’m looking at the hardest with Texas also in the mix.

Williams will visit Texas A&M this weekend, which could determine whether or not I feel the Aggies or Sooners are in the lead.

Best had a monster offseason, picking up offers across the country. Upon landing his offer from Oklahoma, I logged a FutureCast in favor of the Sooners as Best is a native of Owasso, Oklahoma before ending up in Texas. I still like the Sooners in the long term, but Best will make his way to Austin this weekend for an unofficial visit.

The 6-foot-2, 250 pound McKinley will hop on a flight this week to head out to Las Vegas, where he will watch LSU take on USC. He will be there to see his brother, Dominick, a 2024 five-star prospect, in his first game with the Tigers. LSU is obviously a mainstay in his recruitment, but McKinley also names Louisville and Tennessee as two programs he is high on.

One of the top overall prospects in the class of 2027, Feaster is set to hit the road soon. LSU will be up first next week and Oregon, Texas, Nebraska, and Baylor will follow throughout the season.

Holding over 40 offers, the sophomore star has the nation’s biggest powers gunning after him, but the likes of LSU, Texas, USC, Oregon, Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and some others will likely receive most of his attnention.

As Texas A&M hosts No. 20 Notre Dame in College Station this weekend, the Aggies will have the biggest visit weekend of any of the week one matchups. There is a potential of more than 100 prospects in attendance. Among them will be some of the nation’s top prospects, most importantly being the array of 2026’s set to be there.

The highest ranked prospect at the game will be five-star defensive end Anthony Jones out of Mobile (Ala.) St. Pauls. Top-100 prospects Brandon Arrington and Davian Groce are just two more of a loaded list that will make their way to College Station.

Texas A&M recruiting has started off strong under Mike Elko and this weekend will be a prime opportunity for them to start their 2026 efforts with a bang. With a win and successful visit experiences, the Aggies could move into pole position for a number of prospects, both local and national.
