Sister Wives star Robyn Brown prides herself on “Speaking Kody Brown“, a gift she’s shared with viewers numerous times on the TLC series. This supposedly came in handy when the other wives were confused about Kody’s intentions.
Robyn would swoop down and save the day from that confusion. She seemed to know what he meant when the others didn’t. She also had the other wives believing she could get through to him when they couldn’t.
But now, fans see this as a power she held over her co-wives. Instead of a gift, viewers think it comes right out of her box of manipulation tools. And… maybe her husband finally sees this too?
Sister Wives: Robyn Brown’s Special Gift
Robyn Brown had her co-wives sing her praises over her famous abilities with Kody Brown. Her “Speak Kody” gift came in handy, or at least that’s what the Sister Wives ladies suggested, back when they were unified on the screen.
But that was years ago when they all looked to Robyn for help when talking things over with their shared hubby. Janelle Brown and Christine Brown were the first to pooh-pooh Robyn’s special talent last season.
Both ladies finally admitted how their marriages should have stayed between each wife and their shared husband. So, while they fell for it, they know now that they should have taken on their problems with Kody without her help.
Kody Brown Pulls Plug on Robyn’s “Speak Kody” Ability
A shift in the Sister Wives family changed the dynamics of Robyn and her now-monogamous husband. Fans noticed how the couple now displays affection in front of others.
That’s a switch from when Kody Brown prided himself on not showing public affection with any of his wives. This was his rule so as not to create jealousy among his wives.
But with Robyn the only Sister Wives bride left, he seemed to unplug that rule. It also looks like Kody Brown also lost another piece of his life with Robyn. That would be her “speaking Kody”.
During the first episode of Sister Wives Season 19, in her confessional, she tried to explain to the fans what her husband was thinking when he said this or did that. But that didn’t work this time for her husband. Kody appeared in his confessional and explained things just as he saw them. But his interpretation didn’t always coincide with what Robyn said.
Sister Wives: He Says Up – She Says Down
During the premiere of Season 19, Kody didn’t jump to agree with Robyn, as viewers have seen in the past. He almost seemed confused over what the wife who prides herself on “speaking Kody” was saying.
Robyn Brown often became the voice of Kody Brown for the other wives. But in the new season, it looks like he starts to take that back from her. Fans were surprised when Kody contradicted his fourth wife while they mulled over keeping or selling Coyote Pass.
Gone are the days when Robyn fed him thoughts of the wives changing their minds. During the first episode of the new Sister Wives season, Robyn thought Meri Brown might still build on Coyote Pass. She also thought Janelle Brown might change her mind and reboot their marriage.
Kody Brown wouldn’t buy into her cheerleading session as he once did. So, fans see her as no longer having three c0-wives to “speak Kody” to. Now, they also see that Kody Brown won’t let her speak for him, which fans suggest was a long-time coming on the TLC series.
