Hallmark Channel star Mamie Laverock, 19, fell from a five-story hospital balcony over the weekend. Mamie starred in When Calls the Heart, This Means War, along with a few other shows on the Hallmark Channel.
When Calls the Heart: Mamie Laverock Hospitalized
Mamie Sullivan plays the role of Rosaleen Sullivan in the series When Calls the Heart. Fans first learned about her hospitalization from a GoFundMe page created by her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton.
She was admitted to a hospital in Winnipeg, back on May,11. But, the details of her hospitalization remain vague. Although, the family wrote on her GoFundMe page that her mother transported her to the hospital. There, they admitted her for a “life-threatening medical emergency”.
Then the family indicated they transferred Mamie Laverock to a hospital in Vancouver. Her parents also informed her fans that she would stay “upwards of a month” at this hospital.
They also stated that “she is alive and showing signs of improvement,” but they added that her recovery was “unclear”. This was before Mamie fell off that balcony.
Tragic Fall
Mamie spent two weeks in the intensive care unit at that Vancouver hospital. Then on Tuesday, the family updated the GoFundMe campaign they set up for her and they revealed this tragic fall. The hospital moved Mamie out of the intensive care unit on May 26.
They indicated that Mamie Laverock was being “escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway”. This is when the sudden, and tragic fall occurred, with the When Calls the Heart star plunging five stories.

The family updated the page saying, “She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support”.
When Calls The Heart: Family Update
Mamie Laverock’s parents wrote, “We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time”. Then other folks who know the star hopped online.
Mamie’s When Calls the Heart costars, Erin Krakow and Johanah Newmarch, urged fans to donate to the GoFundMe campaign set up by her parents.
In the first two seasons of When Calls the Heart, Mamie Laverock played a reoccurring role of a nursing student, Rosaleen Sullivan.
She returned in Season 10 last year to reprise her role. The popular series When Calls the Heart airs at 9 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel on Sundays.
