Your chance to quiz meteorologists Jeff Masters and Bob Henson » Yale Climate Connections

Must read

Jeff Masters and Bob Henson will soon face off in what promises to be the extreme weather trivia showdown of the year. The two meteorologists have agreed to compete in a contest — hosted by meteorologist Alexandra Steele — in which they’ll answer extreme weather trivia questions, including those suggested by Eye on the Storm readers. A third, mystery contestant will also compete for the crown.

In accepting the invitation to compete, Masters wrote: “Bob and I would be formidable opponents; while I probably have the edge in hurricane-related trivia, he’s got me on tornadoes.”

We’ll showcase the trivia contest — and reveal the ultimate champion of extreme weather facts — on our YouTube channel on June 7.

Here’s where you come in. What are your suggestions for trivia questions we should ask?

We’re looking for a range of difficulty: easy, medium, and stump-the-expert level. And we’re interested in a variety of questions about climate change, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, floods, winter storms, heat waves, geomagnetic storms, weather-related movies, and even funny or silly weather trivia.

Important: To ensure the integrity of the contest, the questions must be kept secret from Masters and Henson. Don’t share your suggestions on any comment threads.

Submit your trivia questions by Sunday, April 21, at 11:59 p.m. here:
